Softball alive and well in West Carleton
I attended the Softball Ontario "Learn to Coach" clinic at the Fitzroy Harbour Community Centre today, along with 14 other coaches from Fitzroy, Carp and Kinburn.
Ken Naylor, former president of the Orleans Amateur Fastball Association led the session, which was very well received by the coaches in attendance.
The tips, resources and materials were quite excellent. I'd highly recommend the course to any minor softball coach. I can't wait to get out on the diamonds with Fitzroy Junior and the Caveman and try some of the new drills we learned.
Good work Ken, and Softball Ontario!
The skills clinic that Ottawa U Geegees Ladies fastball team was also a success in Kinburn on Friday night as about 50 local West Carleton kids came out to get some get training from Scott Searle and the ladies. Fitzroy Junior and the Caveman really enjoyed the evening.
