Micksburg wins home opener 4-0 over Stittsville - UPDATED

Micksburg won their first ever Greater Ottawa Fastball League regular season game with a 4-0 victory over the visiting Stittsville 56ers on Tuesday night.
Corey Costello started for the Twins, while Darren Featherstone got the ball for the visitors.
Micksburg got on the board in the second when Joran Graham hit a single, followed by Nick Eckford lashing a double. After a strikeout, Kyle Jackson cashed in Graham and Eckford with a solid double to the gap.
The score remained 2-0 until the fourth inning when Dan Konkle replaced Featherstone on the slab. Jackson and Ryan Clarke led off with back to back singles. A walk to Jamey Mick loaded the bases with one out. After a strikeout, Costello proceeded to smack a two run single to double the lead to 4.
Graham relieved Costello in the sixth for Micksburg.
With his 12 strikeout performance and two-RBI single, Corey Costello earned the Caveman's Choice as player of the game.
Next up for the Twins is a road game on Thursday night in Quyon, while Stittsville meets I4C Victory in Carp that same evening.
