Fitzroy Fastball Contest
Not too often do we have a contest on the blog, but tonight I was inspired to try one.
One of the things about fastball I like is the creative nicknames. Sometimes you may play against (or even with) a particular player for a long period of time and never know their actual name on their birth certificate. Or you may have a nickname (like I do) that only people you play ball with call you by - your other friends outside fastball have never heard you called that.
With that in mind, this contest tests your knowledge of Greater Ottawa Fastball League player nicknames. See below for four photos, each representing a player in the GOFL (hint: they are from four different teams).
If you know the real names of the players these represent, put your answers in the comments and leave your name (or nickname, I suppose). First person to get all four gets a duty free Yuengling from the case I brought back from Lackawanna on the weekend. (Approximate cash value, 83 cents USD).
