West Carleton Electric wins second game 8-0 over Manotick Blitz
West Carleton Electric won game two of their best-of-five series over the Manotick Taylor's Blitz 8-0 in GOFL playoffs in Manotick on Wednesday night.
Andy Barber had the win, allowing only two hits over the five inning game, while Shannon Borho had the loss and had relief from Derick Bulley.
The Electric scored two to start the first inning. Andy Barber reached on a bunt single, moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by Neil Murphy and moved to third on Derek Barber's single. Derek stole second and both Barbers scored on brother Jeff's double to make it 2-0.
West Carleton added two more in the fourth. Dave Bahm lead off with a single. After a bunt attempt was popped up for an out, Bahm took second on a long fly by Steve Cavanagh. Bahm scored on Jon Daley's double, who then scored on Andy Barber's double.
