Quyon and Stittsville play to 5-5 tie
In Greater Ottawa Fastball League play on Thursday night in Quyon, the hometown Flyers tied the visiting Stittsville 56ers 5-5.
Dan Konkle threw for Stittsville, while Matt Greer had the ball for Quyon. Both pitchers went the distance.
Greer had a solo homer and Randy Peck had a two-run shot for the Flyers. Scott Parsons hit a solo bomb for Stittsville.
With the game tied at three, the 56ers scored two in the top of the seventh, but the Flyers even things up with two of their own in the bottom of the last inning.
