Micksburg doubles Quyon 6-3 on Wednesday night

Quyon travelled to Micksburg wed night for a night cap in Greater Ottawa Fastball League action.

Quyon got on the board early as Shawn Laframboise led of the game with a hot shot up the middle off the pitcher and reached first safely. After a walk and two strike outs, Curtis Daley hit a single scoring Laframboise.

With the score 1-0 Micksburg got the run back in the bottom half with Corey Costello drawing a two out walk, then Chad Costello hit a double down the right field line scoring Corey from first.

Quyon got the lead back in the 3rd as Joe McCleary hit a solo shot over the right field fence.

Twins answered right away again as Kyle Jackson lead off bottom the the third with a walk and advanced to second on a Jamey Mick single. Jackson then scored on an RBI single by Corey Costello.

Micksburg took the lead in the 5th as Corey hit a solo shot to left center to give the Twins a 3-2 lead. Then after a single and two walks loaded the bases for Micksburg, Paul Griffith hit a fly ball to right that was misplayed by the fielder allowing two runs to score. Next up Mark Bell hit a single to left field scoring one. Griffith was thrown out at home on the play ending the inning with Micksburg up 6-2 .

Quyon scored once in the 7th and threatened but Costello was able to get out the jam with two strikeouts and the win for Micksburg .

Player of the game with the win and 15 K also with a good night at the plate with a 2 RBI HR and run scored Corey Costello.
