Broker4Tickets finishes 1-2 at Bellechasse tournament

Ottawa Broker4Tickets won their first game (Saturday at Noon) at the Bellechasse tournament near Quebec City with a 15-8 win over Charlottetown PEI Fawcetts.

Cory Alkerton had the win and had relief from Joran Graham. Kevin McGuire had three homeruns and six RBIs, while Nick Ellis and Graham also had homeruns.

In the 3 pm game, Broker4Tickets went to 8 innings against the Quebec Seniors, dropping a 7-5 decision. Ottawa was up 5-3 in the seventh with two out, the but the Quebecois came back for the win in an extra frame. Andy Skelton was the winning pitcher while Neil Cooke took the loss.

The third game of the day for Ottawa was at 7:30 pm against East Hants, Nova Scotia. The Mastadons won 9-1 with Justin Schofield earning the win and Joran Graham taking the loss with relief from Cory Alkerton. Kevin McGuire had another home run for Broker.

Finishing with a 1-2 record placed Broker4Tickets third in their pool and they did not advance to Sunday.

The New York Gremlins finished the weekend undefeated and claimed top spot with a win over the Quebec Seniors in the final.
