Stittsville Midget girls start OCWFL season
The Midget U18 Girl’s Stittsville 56er’s, began their regular ball season in Quyon on Wednesday, May 20th with a 1-0 loss. Even though the girls were not able to pull out a win, Coach Al Read was impressed with his team. The Quyon team has been together for years and have won the Ottawa Valley Women’s Fastball League a number of times. The Stittsville 56ers held their own throughout the game. With the effort the girls put forth, the talent on the team, and with a few more games under their belt, things will be different next time.
Upcoming schedule – Wednesday, May 27th, in Carp vs Auckland, 8:00pm; Monday, June 1st, in Vars 8:00pm; Monday, June 8th, The Grove vs Quyon 8:30pm; Wednesday, June 10th, in Kars vs Nepean, 7:30pm
