Stittsville edges Valley As 3-2 UPDATED
The Stittsville 56ers won a tight one 3-2 over the Ottawa Valley As at the Grove in Greater Ottawa Fastball League play on Thursday night.
Adam Smith had the win for the home team, while Adam Rueckwald took the loss, throwing well for the As.
The 56ers took and early 1-0 lead on doubles from Ryan Bond and Mike Barrett.
In the top of the third, the A’s took a 2-1 lead three doubles of their own from Lindsay Medysnki, Gavan Boyd and Dave Baird.
The home team retook the lead in the bottom of the third as brothers Dan and Scott Jessiman each singled, then scored on John Craig's double.
