Kars defeats Valley and Stittsville
The Kars Aces came away as big winners in the Greater Ottawa Fastball League doubleheader in Carp on Thursday night.
The Aces opened up things with a 13-0 victory over the Ottawa Valley As. Cory Alkerton had the pitching win while Todd Wilson took the loss with relief from Ben Broek. Cory and Matt Alkerton both had homeruns for the Aces.
Kars continued their heavy hitting ways in the late game, staking out a 9-1 lead in the second inning. They ended up defeating the Stittsville 56ers 10-2. Luke Severson earned the pitching victory and Kyle Olson took the loss with relief from Luc D'Entremont. Matt Alkerton had another two home runs in this match up while brother Cory had two triples.
