GOFL Wednesday night round up

There were four games in Manotick on Wednesday night in Greater Ottawa Fastball League play with five different teams playing.

Quyon Flyers 4 Kars Aces 2

In their first game of their doubleheader, the Quyon Flyers won 4-2 over the Kars Aces. Matt Greer got the win while Brad Porter took the loss. Brad Pender had a home run for the Aces, while Greer hit one out for the Flyers.

Quyon Flyers 9 Kars Aces 9

The second game was a wild one, as the Flyers were up 9-3 in the seventh and the Aces put up six runs in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game at 9-9. Porter and Ian King threw for the Aces while Trevor Lahey and Greer threw for the Flyers. Home run hitters in this one were Pender and Kristian Knapp for the Aces, and Dennis McCleary and Curtis Daley for the Flyers.

Kemptville Black Sox 8 I4C Victory 2

The Kemptville Black Sox affiliate team continued their strong play with an 8-2 win over I4C Victory in the early game on Diamond 2. Will Lowe had the win for the Sox while Matt McNish took the loss. Dan Thompson hit a home run for Kemptville.

I4C Victory 7 Micksburg Twins 3

The late game saw Victory win 7-3 over the Micksburg Twins. McNish earned the win in this one while Matt McIntyre was tagged with the loss for the Twins.
