Kars wins in Kemptville
The Kars Aces defeated the affiliated Kemptville Black Sox team 9-0 in Greater Ottawa Fastball League play on Tuesday night.
Brad Porter had the win, allowing only three hits. Shannon Borho took the loss, with relief from Dan Thompson.
Cory Alkerton hit two home runs for Kars, including a grand slam and had six runs batted in.
Kemptville played each team in the GOFL once, ending their campaign with three wins, two losses and two ties.
Kars still has a chance at second place if they win both their make up games Wednesday in Manotick against I4C Victory and Ottawa Valley.
