NAPA Shockers win Ashton playoff title

The NAPA Shockers won the Ashton Men's Fastball League title on Thursday night, defeating the Ashton Farmers 5-2 to take the series two games to none.

The Shockers rallied from a 2-0 deficit in the top of the 7th by scoring five runs, then held off the Farmers in the bottom to take the game and title. Bill Gerber, Chris Parish and Steve Cavanagh all threw for the winners.

NAPA didn't lose a game throughout the regular season and playoffs of the four team league, with a mid-season tie the only blemish on their record.

The "B" series also concluded Thursday night and saw the Ashton As defeat Lee Plumbing two games straight.
