Thursday night in the GOFL
There were three Thursday night games in Greater Ottawa Fastball League play.
Quyon Flyers 9 West Carleton Electric 2 (Game 1)
The first game of the doubleheader in McNab saw the Flyers put up eight runs the third inning to propel them to a 9-2 win. Matt Greer had the win, while Steve Cavanagh took the loss and had relief from Matt McKay. Nick Armitage had a homer for the Flyers.
Quyon Flyers 8 West Carleton Electric 1 (Game 2)
The second match up also saw Quyon win, this time 8-1. Once again, the Pontiac team benefited from a big inning, putting up seven runs in the fifth to enact the run rule. Jared Murray, Todd Hearty and Gerv Daley all had homers for Quyon. Trevor Lahey had the pitching win while Matt McKay took the loss.
Ottawa Valley As 6 Stittsville 56ers 2
In Carp, the Valley As won 6-2 over Stittsville. Adam Rueckwald took the win while Kyle Olson threw for the 56ers.
