West Carleton wins over Valley As in Harbour Days Classic
West Carleton Electric won the "Harbour Days Classic" game on Thursday night in Greater Ottawa Fastball League play in Fitzroy Harbour by a score of 13-6.
In front of a good crowd of rowdy locals, the Electric bested the short-staffed As. Steve Cavanagh earned the win for WC, with Matt McKay seeing an inning of action in relief. Ben Broek took the loss and had relief from Adam Rueckwald.
For WC, Chris Trafford hit a grand slam, while Mitch Taylor had a three run shot and Neil Murphy had a solo homer.
Kyle Campbell, in his first GOFL at bat, had a solo homer for Valley. Sean Lecuyer also had a solo homer for the As.
