Rebels edge As

The Orleans Rebels won 3-1 over the Ottawa Valley As in Greater Ottawa Fastball League action in the early game in Manotick on Wednesday night.

Andy Barber earned the pitching win, striking out 16. Adam Rueckwald took the loss.

Jeff Barber hit a solo homer for Orleans. Manuel Luna and Andre Mainville also had RBIs for the Rebels. Don Barber was pressed into emergency duty for Orleans and had an impressive sacrifice bunt.

Ryley Burns drove in the only run for the As.

The Rebels are now 3-6 on the season with a game remaining against the Micksburg Twins in Carp on Thursday September 16. The Valley As are 4-5 so far, and they play their final regular season game against Kars Aces as part of a doubleheader with the above noted Twins-Rebels game.
