Chips n Dip wins Orleans league final
Chips N Dip won the Orleans Fastball League playoff title on Sunday afternoon over the Blue Jays.
With Chips N Dip being undefeated in the OFL double bracket playoff format, they had to be beaten twice. The Blue Jays won the first game 4-1, but Chips N Dip won the "if necessary" game 3-2 in 8 innings to take the title.
Andy Barber had the win in the first game for the Jays, while Derek Barber took the loss. Brett Dugan hit a homer for the Blue Jays and Andre Mainville had a bases loaded 3RBI hit for the Jays who scored all their runs in the top of the seventh. Brad Pender scored the only run for C.N.D.
Jeff Barber earned the pitching win in the second game for the C.N.D, while Andy Barber took the loss. Sean Menard had the game winning RBI for Chips N Dip in the 8th inning.
The four team league played Sundays all year at Pierre Rocque Park and are the last area league to crown a champ in 2021.
