Manotick shuts out West Carleton 6-0

Luc D'Entremont led the Manotick Brewers to a 6-0 win over West Carleton Electric in Fitzroy Harbour in Greater Ottawa Fastball League play on Tuesday.

D'Entremont threw a three hitter and hit two home runs to lead the Brewers. Gabe Brown took the loss for WC.

Manotick scored three in the top of the first. Tyler Branchaud led off the game with a solo shot. Ryan Clare singled with one out and scored on D'Entremont's first homer of the game.

The Brewers pushed across three more in the fourth. D'Entremont homered to lead off the frame. Zack Branchaud hit an infield single, Riley Dunbar singled, then Jeremy Malloy was hit by a pitch to load the bases. After a fielder's choice put the younger Branchaud out at the plate, Tyler Branchaud's well hit ball to Mike Cavanagh at short was fielded to put Malloy out at third but scored Dunbar. Tyler Alexander then held back on a change up and punched a ball to left field to score another run to make it 6-0.

West Carleton never had a man reach beyond first base and D'Entremont threw a tidy three hitter.
