Stittsville wins U17 Provincial B title (updated info and photo)

The Stittsville 56er U17 team won the Ontario Amateur Softball Association Provincial B title this weekend at the six team event in Grafton, winning all four games by a single run, three in extra innings.

The 56ers reeled off three straight wins on Friday and Saturday to punch their ticket to the Final on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Those three games were all decided by one run, with one game going 10 innings and another eight innings.

The final was another one run game and went eight innings, with the 56ers prevailing 12-11 over Hillsdale. Stittsville at one point was down 11-6 before clawing back to win Gold.

Teams members are Bennett Rusenstrom, Ethan Howard, Cade Kuehl, Hunter Beauregard, Reid Wilson, Daniel Read, Joey Kerluke, Peyton Shields, Billy Wooton, Skyler Pharand, Ashton Ledain and Graham Maxwell. Coaches are Al Read,  Tim Maxwell, Matthew Wilson and Vic Wootton.

Stittsville 56ers are a member team of the Glen Cairn Men's Fastball League this season.
