Blackburn playoff update

On Sunday play in the Blackburn Men's Fastball League, the Blue Jays defeated the Braves 2-1 with Andy Barber picking up the win and Nick Bowman the loss. Sean Murphy hit an inside the park homerun for the Braves in the second inning. In the bottom of the seventh, Spencer Rodd hit a two out triple. After intentionally loading up the bases, Matt Ellis hit a walk-off single scoring two runs to win the game for the Blue Jays and eliminate the Braves.
Rogues beat the Bandits 16-4. Rogues bats stayed hot, with Derick Bulley going yard twice, including his second straight game with a grand slam. He also picked up the W on the mound. Max Lalonde started for the Bandits and hit a 3-run shot to help his cause. Seb Rodgrigue pitched in relief.
Los Caballos got a bye to finals as a result of a Goodfellows forfeit.
Next games are Tuesday, September 19 at 7 pm and 9 pm at Pierre Rocque in Orleans with the Blue Jays playing against the Bandits and Goodfellows against the Rogues.
