Ontario wins gold at CSG

Team Ontario won gold at the Canada Summer Games Men's Softball competition in St. John's, NL on Sunday with a 4-2 victory over Team Québec. 

Joe Weiler had the complete game win, and Sharl Leclerc, Jeremy Breton, and Mark Tomatuk pitched for Québec. 

The teams had split their previous games as QC won the round robin game on Thursday and ON won the first vs second game on Saturday. 

Conner Hopper from Fitzroy Harbour who plays for West Carleton Electric in the Greater Ottawa Fastball League was a gold medalist.

Cade Kuehl of Shawville who hit a solo homer in the Final and Hunter Beauregard of Campbell's Bay who hit an RBI single in the Final play for Team Québec. They play for Quyon Flyers in the GOFL.
