Goodfellows force game 3 in BMFL

In Blackburn Men's Fastball League playoff action, the Blue Jays defeated the Bandits 9-0 in game 2 of their semi-final to advance to the finals. Andy Barber picked up the win for the Blue Jays.

In game 1 of the othersemi-final, Solotech Elevation defeated Goodfellows 10-7 in 9 innings. Will Lowe started the game for Elevation. Elevation were up 5-2 until Tyler Alexander hit a grand slam to make it 6-5. In a mite ball move, Nick Bowman took off the catcher’s gear and came in relief. Geoff Grace hit a homerun to keep the game alive in the top of the 7th. The game went to extras. Each team scored one run. Elevation were able to put up 3 runs in the 9th and shut down Goodfellows for a 10-7 win. Nick Bowman picked up the win in relief of Will Lowe. Lacroix Sports Legends pitcher Gilles Roy threw all 9 innings for Goodfellows. 

In game 2, Goodfellows defeated Elevation 11-1. Goodfellows scored one in the first and kept piling on the runs. Derek Martin hit a homerun for Goodfellows. With Shannon Borho still unavailable, Carley Shane pitched for Goodfellows and picked up the win. Nick Bowman took the loss with relief from Will Lowe.

Game 3 goes Thursday at 8:00 p.m. with the winner facing off against the Blue Jays in the finals
