Smiths Falls Redmen Junior program to be revived?
According to our Greenbush correspondent, Terry McCann: "Terry Shea is going to resurrect the Smiths Falls Junior Redmen next year. They will be playing in the North Leeds Men's fastball league."
As well, he reports that: "Good to see Ray Madden out to one of the North Leeds finals games as well. Could Ray be considering a come back in some capacity with the Redmen?"
Six members of the GOFL's WC Electric are alumni from the Smiths Falls junior program and played for the legendary Madden.
Hopefully this will happen for 2007 - it would be great to have another Junior team in the area.
Note - as always, if anybody has any other interesting fastball information to pass on (i.e. game results, new teams for 2007, teams folding, teams changing leagues, players moving to new teams, new leagues, tournament news, etc.), send me an email at fitzroyfastballyahoo.ca or to my work email account if you have it. I'll want to put your name as the person providing the news and/or rumour so you must be willing to take 'credit' for the posting.
