Micksburg Squirts finish fourth at qualifier
Congratulations to the Micksburg Squirts, coached by Jerry McIntyre, on their showing at the ten team Squirt OASA qualifier in Port Perry this past weekend.
The squirts carried on the fine tradition of fastball in Micksburg by finishing in fourth and gaining a berth in the "A" Provincial tournament.
In the first game, Micksburg beat Sydenham 16-0.
In the second game, the Squirt Twins lost to Napanee 5-2.
Third game they beat Mallorytown 11-0.
In their fourth game the lads lost to Kingston 6-5 in the last inning.
The boys will now compete in the Provincial A tournament in August. The team did very well for saying it was the first tournament they were in this season.
Good luck to the team and I am sure you will represent the Valley well at the Provincials.
