Gators 7 Blitz 5

Orleans got the win at home on Thursday night beating the Blitz 7-5. Nick Bowman went the distance for Orleans for the win and helped his own cause, going 2-3 with a RBI and a run scored. Derek Barber scored the first Orleans run with a solo homerun the 1st. The Blitz tied the score in the 3rd when Duane Bromley hit a long fly ball to score Russ Mitchell. Orleans scored 3 more runs in the 3rd to take back the lead. Joel Langford hit a 2 run home run in the 4th to make the score 6-1. The Blitz answered back with 4 runs in the 5th. Duane Bromley had an RBI single and then Will Mood hit a 3 run shot to make the score 6-5 after 4 ½ innings. Orleans added one more run in the 5th. Derick Bulley started the game for the Blitz and took the loss. Will Mood also pitched 2 innings in relief.
