CALLING ALL SOFTBALL and FASTPITCH FANS!
from Al Read
The 1st Annual Gil Read Memorial Tournament
Date: July 4th 5th & 6th, 2008
Location: Ottawa - Carlington Park
On Sunday August 26th, 2007, the fastball community lost one of its best coaches for not only the City of Ottawa, but the entire country.
With the help of many ex-players, family and friends we will be hosting the 1st Annual Gil Read Memorial Fastball tournament on July 4th, 5th & 6th to honor a legend. All proceeds of the tournament will go to the Gil Read Memorial Foundation which has been created in his memory. The foundation will help kids who are less fortunate compete in sports across the City of Ottawa.
Tickets are $5 for the day or $10 for the weekend. Kids under 12 are free to attend!
Come out to the ball diamond and have some fun with some of the best fastpitch players in the Ottawa Valley. Games start on Friday night at 7pm and on Saturday and Sunday at 10am.
We’ll see you all at the park!
