from Al's Fastball

Two tournament wins send California to top of ISC II rankings

A pair of tournament wins in Sonora and Sacramento propelled the California Lumberkings to the top of the ISC II rankings, edging out preseason favourite and defending ISC II champion South Lebanon, PA TNT.

#2 TNT dropped a close championship game to #3 New York Knights in Linden, NJ over the Memorial Day weekend.

Rounding out the top five are Hoffman Rise, who went 3-1 in an abbreviated Mid-Atlantic Fastpitch Travel League weekend and Ashland Stockpack, who picked up a tournament win in Bay City, Michigan.

A total of 42 teams from across North America received at least one vote from the panel of 12 rankers.

The top 10 are as follows:

1. Bakersfield, CA Taylor Farms Lumberkings
2. South Lebanon, PA TNT
3. New York City, NY Knights
4. Perkasie, PA Hoffman Rise
5. Ashland, OH Stockpack
6. Oswego, NY Cutro Professional Inspections
7. Waterdown, ON Hammer
