WC Electric got a run back in the bottom of the first. A walk to Jon Daley, a single by Trevor Barton and a walk to Michael Cavanagh loaded the bases with none out. Shawn Rebertz hit a sac fly to centre to score Daley, but Bowman struck out the next two batters to keep the game at 1-1.

When Cavanagh took off for second on a steal, Orleans made the throw, but cut it and caught Barton off third base for the first out. Two more walks to Shawn Rebertz and Beef Johnson loaded the bases. After giving up seven hits in the first four innings, Porter settled in and only allowed two hits and no runs over the final three innings.
