"The Rock" at the FHCC

Tim "The Rock" Raines, former Expo great and World Series winner as a coach with the White Sox, was on hand at the Fitzroy Harbour Community Centre on Tuesday night to witness his first men's competitive fastball game.

Rumour has it he was impressed with the play of Trevor Barton (pictured below).

Most importantly -
Has "The Rock" played a game yet for a GOFL team?

I was going to ask him to come in for a pinch hit to secure his GOFL rights in the seventh, but unfortunately one bad inning and we were mercied so it didn't happen.

I guess at this point he is still a free agent!

Tim is married to a girl from Arnprior (it's a long story) and was in town for the all star break. He is currently the manager of the Newark Bears of the Atlantic League.
