Wednesday in Manotick

The Blitz dropped both ends of the doubleheader in Manotick in mercy rule shortened games.

In the first half of a double dip last night in Manotick, Team Easton scored 7 runs in the bottom of the 6th to mercy the Blitz 8-1.

The visiting Blitz opened the scoring in the 1st as Tony Searle singled home Russ Mitchell to put them up 1-0. Easton tied the score in the 4th on a Cory Morrison homerun. In the 6th Kyle Gougon led off with a single followed by a BB to Pat O'Connor then Dave Tubman lofted one over the right field fence to put easton up 4-1. After a walk to Cory Morrison 3 singles off the bats of Chad Milne, Lukas Kamps, and Brad Porter and a triple by Kyle Gourgon the game was called.

Manotick Lomor Printers 10 Ottawa Blitz 1

Manotick used a four run third and a five run fourth to end this one early after 5 innings.

Paul Ceppi had the win for the Printers, while Will Mood had the loss with relief from Derek Bergeron.

Don Cox had a homer for Manotick and was a double away from the cycle.
