Elkland Labour Day tourney results - now with a bit more info

Just a quick report on the Elkland Labour Day tournament.

There were 17 teams there - the calibre was, as usual, from House League to World Class.

Great weather, great food, great atmosphere. It really is a special spot for a fastpitch softball tournament.

Final order of finish, with eastern Ontario teams bolded:

1. New York Gremlins (Clifton Park, NY) - 5-0; they had Brian Newton and Jeremy Tracy throwing and ran the table
2. Shaggy Dog (Erie, PA) - 5-2; former champs lost twice to Gremlins. Jeremy Manley threw for NY.
3. Hoffman Rise (Reading, PA) - 5-2; lost to Gremlins and Shaggy. Mike Smith and Ryan Cummings threw for Rise.
4. I4C Victory (Carp, ON) - 4-2; lost to Gremlins and Rise. Neil Cooke and John Peters threw for I4C.
5. ESA Thunderbellys (Elkland, PA) - 4-2; lost to Gremlins and Rise. Jeff Van Hooser and Paul Algar threw for ESA.
6. Knoxville/Ontario (Knoxville, PA / Kingston, ON) -3-2; lost to I4C and Shaggy.
T7. West Carleton Electric (Fitzroy Harbour, ON) - 2-2; lost to Rise and ESA Bellys
T7. Greenbush Generals (Greenbush, ON) - 2-2; lost to Rise and I4C
9. Aqua Specialists (Palmyra , PA) 2-2; lost to Shaggy and Greenbush
T10. Jack Armstrong Transport (Avoca, NY ) 1-2; lost to Knoxville and I4C
T10. Jersey Shore Generals (Jersey Shore, PA) 1-2; lost to Knoxville and ESA Bellys
T10. First Kings (Allentown, PA) 1-2; lost to WC Electric and Shaggy
