Great Britain Women's National Team seeks pitching

forwarded on by Scott Searle

The Great Britain Women's Fastpitch Softball Team has qualified to play in the ISF Women's World Championships in Oklahoma City in July 2010, and will also play in the 2010 Canada Cup to prepare for the World Championships.

We have a talented team that finished second in European Championships this past summer -- our highest-ever placing! But to compete successfully at the World Championships and Canada Cup we need more pitching depth.

So we are looking for good pitchers who have a British family heritage and who could qualify for a British passport if they don't already have one.

To qualify for a passport, a player must have been born in Great Britain herself, or have a parent who is a British citizen and was born in Great Britain. Players with British grandparents or great-grandparents cannot qualify.

If you are a pitcher who meets these criteria, or if you're a coach who knows a pitcher who might do so, please get in touch by contacting:
