Kingston Cowboys win LFL playoff tournament

The Kingston Cowboys won the Loughborough Fastball League tournament on the weekend in Sydenham.

The Cowboys lost 1-0 vs North Fred on Friday night in a pitchers' duel. North Fred scored in the bottom of the seventh to win it.

The Cowboys then won 4 games on Saturday to take the championship. Cowboys beat Sydenham 4-1, then beat Sunbury 6-3, then beat North Fred 7-1 to get to the finals.

In the final game the Cowboys beat the Napanee Express Juniors 1-0 in 8 innings. Jamie Purdon had an RBI double to score David Purdon in the eighth. Ryan Sharpe threw all 8 innings for the Cowboys for the win. Jordan MacDonald threw all 8 for the Juniors in the loss. A great game to top off a great weekend of ball.
