Oshawa Rebels win at Grafton

16 teams at the Jim Bradford Tournament in Grafton.

Some notes:

- Weather was a factor, but Steve Bedard and his gang ended up getting all the games in, despite diamond two which was a bit like a giant mud puddle.

- West Carleton Electric got mercied by Napanee Express Intermediates and by Quyon COMBAT Flyers. If they would have beat Oshawa Junior BBs, they still would have qualified for Sunday. After Fitzroy jumped out to a 5-1 lead, Oshawa hit three 2-run shots in the sixth and came back and won the game 7-6.

- Quyon won their pool and got a bye into the quarter-finals on Sunday. Despite being shorthanded, the Flyers beat Donnacona 2-1 to move the semis, where they lost to the Oshawa Rebels 3-1.

- Kars won their quarterfinal game against Joran Graham and the Napanee Juniors 4-1, then beat last year's champions, the Cobourg Force 2-0 in the semis. Then Oshawa Rebels beat Kars 10-7 in the final, so the Aces finished second for the second year in a row. The Rebels had Matt Leahy throwing while the Aces had Corey Costello, Brad Porter and Dan Konkle for the tournament.
