GOFL Thursday night round up - UPDATED

Quyon 5 Barrhaven 5
In Quyon, the Combat Flyers stayed undefeated with a 5-5 tie against Barrhaven. Matt Greer and Drew Hathway threw for Quyon while Chad Hargrove and Trevor Lahey chucked for the Blues.

Barrhaven got on the scoreboard in the top of the first by way of a two run homer off the bat of Chad Hargrove.

Quyon answered back with one of their own in the bottom half of the first frame. Nick Armitage walked, and advanced to 3rd on back-to-back wild pitches. He would then score on an RBI single from Drew Hathway.

Quyon would then take the lead in the 2nd. Shawn Laframboise walked, and Tim Craig grounded to shortstop. An error charged to the 2nd baseman left both runners safe, with Laframboise advancing to 3rd. Mike Baker grounded out to 2nd, scoring Laframboise from 3rd. Tim Craig would later score on a wild pitch to put the home team up 3-2.

Armitage led off the 3rd inning for Quyon with a walk. After advancing to 3rd, he would later score on a sac fly from Laframboise. Baker added Quyon’s 5th run in the 4th inning. After leading off with a single to right field, he swiped 2nd and 3rd, and scored on an RBI groundout from the bat of Luke Young.

Barrhaven then answered back with three runs, capitalizing on three Quyon errors to tie the game at 5-5.

Carp 3 Stittsville 2
In Carp, I4C Victory bounced back with a 3-2 win over the Stittsville 56ers, to further clog up the standings. Neil Coooke had the win, while Darren Featherstone took the loss. Dan Jessiman had a two run homer for the 56ers.
