Kars 6 Stittsville 2 - with details

Kars topped Stittsvile 6-2 on the newly reno’d Grove field last night. Brad Porter had the win in relief of Steve Price, while Trevor Scott took the loss with relief from Dan Bradley and Adam Smith.

Nick Ellis singled and scored on a 2-run homer by Cory Morrison in the top of 1 to put Kars up 2-0.

Stittsville answered back in the bottom of 1 as Ryan Bond doubled and advanced to 3rd on an infield single by John Craig. Scott Herriot and Dan Jessiman were issued back to back walks to score Bond.

The 56er’s tied the game in the 3rd as Scott Herriot walked and stole 2nd then scored on a dropped fly ball in the outfield.

Kars regained the lead again in the 5th as Scott Marion homered with two men on putting the visitors up 5-2 then Marion singled in the 7th to score Morrison and round out the scoring.

Marion was named the Caveman's Choice as player of the game.
