Quyon blanks West Carleton Electric 5-0

In GOFL action on Thursday night in Fitzroy Harbour, the Quyon Combat Flyers defeated West Carleton Electric 5-0.

Joran Graham had the complete game win, throwing a one-hitter. Steve Cavanagh took the loss with one inning of relief by Jeff Barber.

Dennis McCleary led off the game for Quyon with a home run deep to right field. This game was played on the "upper" second diamond so there was no 'grey monster' for this line shot to deal with.

A solo shot by Steve McCord in the fourth deep to centre made it 2-0.

The Flyers added three in the sixth. Matt Greer singled, Joran Graham tripled, Joe McCleary doubled, Curtis Daley singled to make it 5-0.

The Flyers looked to add  more in the seventh as they loaded the bases with one out on a Greer single and walks to Graham and McCleary. However a 5-2-6 double play ended the inning.

Graham only gave up one hit on the night and earned the honours as Caveman's Choice for player of the game.
