Elkland line up questions by Caveman

For the Elkland Labor Day tournament, West Carleton Electric had some reinforcements from other Greater Ottawa Fastball League teams. Upon my return this evening, the Caveman had a few questions about which additional players were in the line up. Keep in mind, Caveman is very likely the only nine year old with a somewhat comprehensive knowledge of GOFL rosters.

Transcript of our discussion:

Cavemen: "So which other players went with you, daddy?"

Me: "Well, there were a few. Do you remember Trevor Power?"

Caveman looking at me like I am pitifully stupid: "Uh yes, Daddy, he has played with you before. He is the catcher for the Kanata Pirates."

Me: "Right. Well we also had 'Smitty' Smith."

Caveman: "Was he the pitcher for Barrhaven Broadway Blues?"

Me: "Yes."

Caveman: "Does he play for Kanata now too?"

Me: "He sure does."

Caveman: "Then I know him. He is the guy with the SWEET moustache."
