Stittsville over Quyon 3-1 - WITH DETAILS

The Stittsville 56ers beat the Quyon Flyers 3-1 in Greater Ottawa Fastball League play on Wednesday night at the Grove.

Dan Konkle had the win while Matt Greer took the loss.

Quyon scored in the top of the first. The Flyers started with a walk to Dave Hobbs and single by Shawn Laframboise. There was a subsequent walk to Dennis McLeary to load the bases. A ground out by Randy Peck  to first scored Hobbs.

The 56ers loaded the bases in the second but were unable to score.  

In the bottom of four, walks to Ryan Bond and Trevor Scott put two runners on, and Darren Ladouceur drove in the 56ers first run with a single, to make it a tied game 1-1.

Quyon had multiple runners on base on the 4^th and 6^th but were unable to push them across home plate.

In the bottom of 5th, Bond scored a runner from first on a double giving the 56ers the lead.  They added one more in the 6^th when Mike Barrett singled and later scored on a double by Tyler Nystedt.

Dan Konkle closed out the 7^th to get a 3-1 win.
