On Thursday night the Valley A's made their first trip up to Micksburg to take on the Twins in front of a good crowd.

The Twins sent Joran Graham to the hill as the As countered
with Adam Rueckwald.
The home side got things going in the home half of the
first by sending nine batters to the plate. Lead
off batter drew a walk, followed by a Kyle Jackson single advancing the runner
to third. After the next batter walked Jamey Mick came to the plate and singled home both runners. Chad Costello then hit a 3-run shot to left center giving the home side a
5-0 lead.
The A's got on the board in the second as lead off batter
Ryley Burns hit a single then advancing to second on a passed ball and third on a
ground out. Then the A's scored the runner via single cutting the Twins lead to
5-1. Both pitchers then settled through the next three innings as
both teams were held off the scoreboard.
The Twins added to their lead in the fifth as their
first two batters reached via error and walk bringing hot swinging Mick to the
plate who hit a line drive to the fence scoring Jackson
from second. With one out Andrew Mcyntyre hit a through the
right side scoring another Twins runner. With the 7-1 lead Graham was able
to retire the side in the remaining two innings giving the home side the
win.
