Quyon opened the scoring in the top of the 1st inning.  With two out, Matt Greer and Dennis McCleary reached on a single and walk respectively, and scored on Steve McCord’s double to the gap in left-centre.  McCord then scored on Randy Peck’s RBI single.

The score remained 3-0 until the bottom of the 4th.  Alkerton reached on an error to lead off the inning and scored on a double from brother Matt.  Matt Alkerton then scored on a Jordan Adams double.  Lahey would get out of the inning without any further damage, 3-2 Flyers.

The Flyers added one in the top of the 5th.  Chris Hobbs singled and advanced to second on a Lahey ground out.  He then scored on a single from cousin David.  In the bottom of the 5th, Kars added three to take their first lead of the game 5-4.

The Aces added another in the 6th to take a 6-4 lead.  Nick Ellis tripled with 1 out and scored on Cory Morrison’s sac fly to centre field.

The Flyers weren’t done yet as they answered back with three runs in the 7th.  Curtis Daley walked to lead off the inning and stole second.  After two strikeouts, Dave Hobbs singled to score Daley to bring the Flyers within one. Shawn Laframboise then hit a grounder to short that was misplayed to put the go ahead runner on base.  Matt Greer then tripled to score both runners and give Quyon the lead 7-6.

The home side answered back in the bottom half of the frame.  With one out and Chad Milne on base, Matt Alkerton hit a no-doubter to left-centre field for the walk-off HR.

Game 2: Quyon 7 Kars 0
The Flyers earned the split by taking game 2 of the double header by a score of 7-0.  Greer had the complete game shut-out for Quyon while Brad Porter took the loss for the Aces and had relief from Luke Severson.

Once again the Flyers jumped out to a quick lead in the top of the 1st inning.  Dave Hobbs doubled and scored on a single from Greer.  Greer stole second and scored on a Dennis McCleary single to make it 2-0 after 1.
