Micksburg defeats Quyon 3-1
from Scott Conroy
The Twins headed to Quebec to face the undefeated Quyon Flyers on Tuesday night in Greater Ottawa Fastball League action, winning 3-1.
Joran Graham had the ball for the Twins earning the win while Matt Greer tossed for Quyon taking the loss.
Things were quiet through the first 4 and ½ innings as both teams struggled to string hits together.
Jordan Kearns took a pitch over the fence in right to lead off the fifth inning for the Flyers.
Micksburg would answer right back in the top of the sixth. Andrew McIntyre started things off with a leadoff single before a Joran Graham walk. Jamey Mick reached on a fielder’s choice. Chad Costello had the game winning hit as he sent a ball deep to left centre for the 3 run homerun.
That would be all Graham needed as he retired the next 6 in order to win the game. Next game for the Twins comes Thursday at home against Fitzroy Harbour while Quyon is in Stittsville at the Grove tonight.
Connor Moss 1-4
