Stittsville over Quyon 9-1

Stittsville defeated Quyon 9-1 in Greater Ottawa Fastball League action on Wednesday night at the Grove. Adam Smith had the win while Matt Greer took the loss.


Quyon scored in top of the first, as Matt Greer walked, stole second and scored on a Joe McLeary single.

Stittsville answered back in the bottom of the inning, starting with a lead-off double by Ryan Bond. After a walk to Scott Jessiman, John Craig hit a bloop single over short to score two. This was followed by a double by Tyler Nystedt and singles to Luc D’Entremont (a line drive off Greer’s ribs) Mike Barrett scored two more. Scored was 4-1 after 1.

In the bottom of the third D’Entremont ripped another line drive single, then a triple to left for newcomer Jamie O’Hare made it 5-1.

In the fourth, Scott Jessiman hit a two run bomb to straight away centre scoring his brother Dan to make it 7-1.

The scoring was capped in the fifth when Bond hit a two run homer scoring D'Entremont who had singled to end the game at 9-1.

Bottom 5 – Another line drive to D’Entremont, Bondo goes yard for the walk off 9-1.
