GOFL Thursday round up

A busy night in the Greater Ottawa Fastball League - a round up of the four games played.

Ottawa Valley As 8 I4C Victory 7
After losing their first six league games, the Valley As have reeled of three straight victories following their succesful tournament in Pickering. The As walked it off in the bottom of seven in Carp on Thursday as Lindsay Medynski singled to win the game. Ben Broek had the win in relief of Adam Rueckwald while Matt McNish took the loss for Victory.

Quyon Flyers 5 Stittsville 56ers 2
Quyon won at home on the Quebec side versus Stittsville. Dave Hobbs had a homer for the Flyers while Al Read hit one out for the 56ers. Matt Greer earned the win on the slab while Kyle Olson took the loss.

Kars Aces 1 Micksburg Twins 0 (Game 1)
In the first game of the doubleheader up in the 'Burg, it turned out to be a pitching duel with Cory Alkerton earning the shutout win over Corey Costello. Cory Morrison scored the games only run after doubling and being driven in on a Brad Pender double.

Kars Aces 8 Micksburg Twins 8 (Game 2)
The second game of the double dip had a lot more offense than the first game. Corey Costello and Matt McIntyre threw for the Twins while Luke Severson and Brad Porter chucked for the Aces.
