New York Bombers win Durk Sherman Classic in Elkland
The New York Bombers from Cortland, NY were champions of the Durk Sherman Classic tournament on Labour Day weekend in Elkland, PA. The Bombers went undefeated and were lead by Argentinian stars Sisko Sabate and Martin Gonzalez on the slab. They beat the host ESA team 7-2 in the final.
Third place was Eline's Tax Service Bears from Ephrata, PA who had Tyson Duncan from Australia and Duane Weiler pitching. Team USA Futures finished fourth.
There were three teams from Eastern Ontario. The only one to make it to Monday was Party Lake from the Kingston area. They were lead by Jordan Macdonald and finished with three wins and two losses.
Greenbush Generals had Clayton Robinson pitching. They finished 2-3.
West Carleton Electric were 1-3 on the weekend.
