U20 Men's Canadian Championship starts in a week

The Softball Canada 2026 U20 Men's Canadian Championship starts a week from today at the Carp Fairgrounds diamonds.

There are eight teams participating at this year's event: Plattsville Lightning, St. George Aces and Chatsworth Longhorns from Ontario; Team Newfoundland and Labrador; Brookfield Elks from Nova Scotia; Equipe Quebec, and Valley Vikings from Saskatchewan, along with the host team West Carleton Electric.

The action starts at 10 a.m. on Tuesday August 4 and wraps up with the Final on Sunday August 9 at 1:30 p.m. The tournament website, including the full schedule is available here: U20 Men's. See the end of this post for the West Carleton Electric game schedule.

Admission prices are very reasonable - $10 a day for adults, a week pass for $50 (Seniors $40, Kids 13-18 for $30). Children 12 and under are free.

While the tournament organizers are pleased to have a large contingent of volunteers as always, there is always room for more. We especially could use grounds workers for games during the day, but other positions are available. If you can help, contact Jayne at 613-293-7262 or jcoady@xplornet.com.
This is the third time the West Carleton Fastball Committee has hosted a Canadian Championship, with previous events in 2022 (U23 Men's) and 2024 (U20 Men's). The Committee also hosts the Carp Shootout men's tournament annually.

For more information, you can visit West Carleton Fastball.
