West Carleton Electric managed to get by the host Micksburg Twins 8-2, also winning the series two straight.

Andy Barber went the distance for the Trics while Matt McIntyre also had a complete game for the Twins.

West Carleton got on the board in the top of the first. Andy Barber doubled and scored on brother Jeff's RBI single.

WC added another run in the third when Andy Barber scored again, hitting a triple and scoring on Trevor Barton's double.

The Electric's third run was scored in the fourth as Mitch Taylor doubled, took third on a wild pitch and scored on Steve Cavanagh's double to centre.

The Twins got on the board in the bottom of the fourth. Quinton Rook singled and moved to second on Chad Costello's walk. Scott Conroy moved the batters 60 feet on a sacrifice bunt which was a very close play at first. Jared Steege's sacrifice fly to right plated Rook.

Fitzroy got a two-out rally going in the top of the fifth. Chris Costello tripled, then scored on Taylor's RBI single. Neil Murphy then homered to make it 6-1. Two walks and a single loaded the bases, but McIntyre got out of the inning with a strikeout.

Micksburg scored another in the sixth when McIntyre singled and was driven in on Rook's triple. Three straight Ks by Barber ended the threat.

West Carleton added two in the top of the seventh when Andy Barber homered to scored Kevin Shonfield who had walked.
