Wednesday night round up from Manotick

There were four games in the Greater Ottawa Fastball League in Manotick on Wednesday night.

Kars Aces 6 Osgoode Chiefs 6

The early game on the main diamond saw the Aces and Chiefs battle to a tie at six apiece. Cory Baldwin and Matt McKay threw for Osgoode, while Nick Ellis had the ball for Kars. 

Manotick Brewers 6 Orleans Rebels 0

The Brewers got out to an early lead at the 7 p.m. game on the arena diamond and they held on for the shutout win. Luc D'Entremont had the win, allowing only two hits. Andy Barber took the loss. Ty "Jonesy" Alexander hit a homer for Manotick.

Manotick Brewers 6 Kars Aces 4

Manotick won their second game of the night over Kars, with Adam Smith earning the win and Brad Porter taking the loss. D'Entremont got the last two outs of the game to get a save. Chris MacFarlane hit one out for Manotick.

Orleans Rebels 9 West Carleton Electric 1

Orleans got an early lead and never looked back to defeat W.C. in the late game near the arena. Jeff Barter had the pitching win, allowing only two hits in the five inning game. Steve Cavanagh took the loss with relief from Jeff Campbell in his first ever GOFL pitching appearance. Matt Healey hit one out in the first inning for the Rebels.
