Plattsville, Quebec with both in Day 1 at U20s

Plattsville Lightning and Team Québec both have two wins after day one at the seven team Softball Canada U20 Men's Canadian Championship in Saskatoon.

Defending champions Plattsville beat two Ontario teams - 12-2 over Fingal Storm and 10-0 over St. George Aces. Conner Hopper of West Carleton was picked up by the Lightning for the event.

Québec, which has Cade Kuehl and Hunter Beauregard from the Quyon Flyers playing, defeated Ontario Provincial A Champions Chatsworth Longhorns 3-2 and host Saskatoon Selects 10-1.

Chatsworth, Fingal, and St. George all have one win and one loss, while hosts Saskatoon and Team Newfoundland are winless.

Plattsville plays Québec today (Thursday) at noon.
