ISC world tournament results

The International Softball Congress World Tournament continues at Chippewa of the Thames, ON at the Bear Creek complex. There are two undefeated teams remaining - Hill United Chiefs and the Bear Creek Gremlins. Other teams still in the running are Bear Creek Express, Northeast Drillers, The Sandlot Merchants and Kegel Black Nights.

Several local Greater Ottawa Fastball League players were on the Kingston Axemen, including Joran Graham, Andy Barber, Conner Hopper, Dylan Rorwick, Cade Kuehl, Kristian Knapp and Nick Ellis. The Axemen had a very good tournament, finishing 3-2. They beat Pueblo, CO Bandits 6-4, lost to Bear Creek Express 11-0, beat the Walton, ON Brewers 8-1, beat the PA Storm 2-1, and lost to Kegel 7-0.

Tyler Branchaud's Toronto Batmen U23 team went 0-2 in the world tournament, losing two close games 5-3 to Sandlot and 5-4 to the Saskatoon Jacks. They went to the ISC II bracket and have won three games and lost one so far, and play the Peguis, MB Redment at 9 a.m. today.

Georgian Bay Giants had Brad Pender playing for them - they had three wins and two losses in the World Tournament. 

Luis Colombo was with the JDT First Energy and they also went 3-2 in the event.

Waterdown Hammer, a team in which Joe Mick was catching, went 1-2 in the World Tournament, and entered the ISC II bracket, winning three in a row then losing a game. They play at 11 a.m. today.
